Advanced Skills Agility

Advanced Skills Agility
Length:10 weeks
Class Description:This class will be the final level class where skills are polished and increasingly difficult obstacle sequences are introduced. Teams in this class will learn skills needed to compete at the excellent level in any agility venue.
Prerequisite:Dog and Handler must be able to demonstrate basic Novice skill level on an agility course. This requirement may be achieved by passing the TDTC Novice Agility class evaluation (Note: Testing only offered on normal class test day), or by earning a UKC U-AGI and U-AGII title, or by earning an AKC NA title.
Tuition:$75

Beginning Agility
Length:10 Weeks
Class Description:Dogs will be introduced to full size AKC and UKC equipment. Focus will be on the dog gaining confidence negotiating the equipment, as well as basic jumping skills, introduction to weaves and consistent contacts. Short obstacle sequences will be introduced and lengthened as the dog progresses in training. Dogs leaving this class must demonstrate the basic ability to negotiate all contact exercises and a solid understanding of the pause table and Weave poles. Passing the beginning test is required to progress to Novice Agility.
Prerequisite:Dog must be able to demonstrate a Novice2 level of obedience. This requirement may be achieved by passing the TDTC Novice-II class evaluation, or by earning either an AKC or UKC Novice obedience title.
If room is available and with instructors recommendation, Novice-2 students with approval of agility commettee may apply to enroll in this class.

Novice Agility
Length:10 Weeks
Class Description:The dog and handles will work toward a Novice Agility title -- Dogs and handler will learn basic jumps - control of the contacts -- weave up to 6 weave poles (the dog will be introduced to 12). And handler skills necessary to pass a novice agility title. Dogs leaving this class should be ready to compete at the novice level in most agility venues. Passing the novice test or by earning a UKC qualifying score towards a U-AGI and U-AGII agility title or one leg AKC Novice agility.
Prerequisite:passing the beginning test or by earning a UKC qualifying score towards a U-AGI and U-AGII agility title or one leg AKC Novice agility
